Staff

Bro. Bill joined our staff in August of 2007 as our Senior Pastor after having served eight (8) years as the Senior Pastor of the First Baptist Church of Vinton, LA. He is a 1983 graduate of Louisiana College (B/A Religion) who pursued his Master of Divinity at Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, in Louisville, KY.

While studying at Southern Seminary, he bi-vocationally pastored three (3) churches in the Louisville area for eleven (11) years. In 1994, Bro. Bill accepted the full-time pastorate of Sharon Baptist Church in Port Allen where he served until 1999.

Bro. Bill is married to Debbie Woodward. He is the father of three children, Shawnette, Jonathan, and Laura and is also the grandfather of three wonderful grandchildren, Richard, Aly, and Zach.
Bro. Bill joined our staff in December of 2007 as our Associate Pastor of Youth and Young Adult Ministries after serving three (3) years as the full-time Interim Minister to Students and Families at the First Baptist Church of DeRidder. He is a 1982 graduate of Covenant College, in Georgia, (B/A History, Education, Religion) who served our nation for twenty one (21) years as an Army Officer after college.

During his time in the Army, Bro. Bill excelled and not only obtained the rank of Major (O-4) before he retired, but tirelessly devoted himself to ministering to the youth and young adults of the churches he attended. After retirement, he surrendered to the full-time ministry to youth and young adults and brings to our church a wealth of experience and talent.

Maj. Bill is married to Janice Bean. He is the father of two children, Ashley and Travis.
Bro. Laramie joined our staff in August of 2008 as our Music and Worship Pastor after serving as our interim Minister of Music since Easter Sunday 2008. Prior to joining our staff in March of 2008, he served the Bethel Baptist Church of Water Valley, MS as their Minister of Music and Youth from 2002 until 2007. He moved to New Orleans in 2006 to complete his Bachelor of Arts in Music. In December of 2008 he graduated from Leavell College, the undergraduate school of the New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. He is currently attending the New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary and is pursuing his Master of Music in Church Music degree.

Bro. Laramie brings to our church a great musical talent and love for the Lord. He and his wife Angela had their first child, a daughter named Addison Marie, on October 5th, 2009.
